What we don’t do

Privacy
01

No ads

No banners, no tracking pixels, no analytics. Just the tool.

02

No network access

Detection, cropping and PDF creation run offline. After install it works with no internet at all.

03

No cookies

No login, no account, no cookies. Settings stay local in your browser.

04

Nothing is uploaded

What you scan stays on your phone — until you choose to share a PDF yourself.

Why this works: Rescan.me is a Progressive Web App — all the code runs in your browser, on your device. There is no server that processes or stores documents; the camera images never leave the device.

How it works

Usage
AGetting started
  1. Lay the page down. Flat, with good and even light.
  2. Wait for the frame. Hold steady; when the frame turns green, it captures by itself.
  3. Review & adjust. Fix colour mode, corners or rotation — page by page.
  4. Create a PDF. Tap “Create PDF” and share or save it.
BCapturing
  • AUTO captures once the frame locks. 📖 Book derives a missing edge from the A4 ratio. A burst keeps the sharpest frame.
  • Tap the page to focus; add the light in dim rooms.
CReview & correct
  • Colour — colour, greyscale or black & white.
  • ✎ Corners — drag the four corners by hand; the corners you set win.
  • Rotate, straighten, brighten — per page.
DCollection & export

Number many documents automatically (Name-00001) and export the batch as a ZIP or into a folder.

EUpdates

Rescan.me never reloads on its own. “Check for update” in the settings checks on demand; optionally it offers updates automatically — applied only when you confirm.

On first launch the app downloads everything it needs from this one server — every file is pinned to this origin, with no third-party code, so supply-chain attacks aren’t possible. After that it runs permanently offline.
